(KLZA) -- Pawnee  City senior Chase Grizzle will be joining the Morningside College basketball team this fall, according to Mustangs’ head coach Jim Sykes.

Grizzle, a 6-2, guard,  has earned second-team All-State honors in Class D1 and twice earned 1st team conference honors from the Pioneer Conference.  Grizzle hit 41 percent of is nearly 300 three point attempts in his high school career.  As a senior he averaged 15.8 points and better than 4 rebounds per game.

Grizzle joins a Morningside team that posted a 25-9 record and won the Great Plains Athletic Conference Post-Season Tournament and earning a berth in the NAIA Division II National Tournament.
