Hiawatha Volleyball Wins Home Tournament on Saturday

The Hiawatha volleyball team went a perfect 6-0 on Saturday to claim their home tournament championship. 

Hiawatha dominated pool play with straight set wins over Troy, Bishop Seabury, Doniphan West and Lafayette. 

They would go on to defeat Jefferson County North in the semi-finals, 25-17 and 25-16. Hiawatha and Centralia met in the championship match with Hiawatha getting the win in straight sets, 25-18 and 25-23. 

Hiawatha (16-2) has been on a roll this season as they checked in at #7 in Class 3A in the last rankings from the Kansas Volleyball Association.
