Doniphan West Girls and Riverside Boys Win Hiawatha Track Meet

The Doniphan West girls and Riverside boys won the Hiawatha Invitational track and field meet on Tuesday afternoon. 

Girls - Doniphan West had a strong afternoon with first place finishes from Reese McCauley in the high jump, long jump, 100m hurdles, and 200m dash. Courtney Johnson won the 100m dash and they also won the 4x400m relay. 

Hiawatha finished the day in second place and got first place finishes from Tessa Jones in the triple jump, Briley Siebenmorgen in the shot put, Pauly Rockey in the 1600m run and 800m run, and Kyndall Nelson in the 400m dash. 

Nemaha Central finished the day in third place and got a first place finish from Jade Macke in the javelin.  

Boys - Riverside just beat out Hiawatha for first place by six points and got first place finishes on the day from Gavin Schoenfelder in the shot put, Eric Ashworth in the 400m dash and 800m run, and they also won the 4x400m relay. 

Notable top finishes from Hiawatha included Gus Smith in the 110m hurdles, Eastan Sheldon in the 3200m run, and they also won both the 4x100 and 4x800m relay events. 

Doniphan West finished the day in third place and got first place finishes from Judd Prawl in the discus, Jackson Cole in the 1600m run, and Maliki Armstrong in the 300m hurdles.
