The Riley County track and field teams swept the Valley Heights Late Invite on Thursday afternoon at Valley Heights Sports Complex. Complete meet results can be found here.
Girls: The Falcons edged out Clifton-Clyde and got first place finishes from Claire Anderson in the 400m, and Sarah Effiong in the triple jump. Riley County also swept all three relay events.
Clifton-Clyde got first place finishes from Sevy Wurtz in the 100m, 200m, and long jump, Calyn Baker in the discus, and Paige Joy in the javelin.
Other first place finishes came from Mia Vermetten of Valley Heights in the 800m, Emma Warders of Valley Heights in the 1600m, Lindsay Gray of Valley Heights in the 3200m, Tessa Parthemer of Frankfort in the 100m hurdles, Klara McIntyre of Valley Heights in the 300m hurdles, Emmarsyn Fordham of Onaga in the shot put, and Lillie Weiser of Onaga in the high jump and pole vault.

Boys: The Falcons posted north of 200 points on the day and got top finishes from Trey Webber in the 100m, Ryland Kreie in the 400m, Jeter Adams in the 1600m and 3200m, Jaxxon Maxwell in the 110m and 300m hurdles, and Evan Widman in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. The Falcons also won both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay events.
Other notable first place finishes came from Aiden Unruh of Valley Heights in the 200m, Langston Gray of Valley Heights in the 800m, Fred Rosquist of Frankfort in the shot put, Locklund Feight of Clifton-Clyde in the discus, Ryan LeClair of Clifton-Clyde in the javelin, and Brady Pruser of Clifton-Clyde in the pole vault.
