The Rossville Bulldogs are headed to the Class 2-1A State Semifinals after a dominant 10-0 run-rule victory over Marmaton Valley on Monday in Kansas City.

Rossville secured the win in five innings, ending the game on a walk-off RBI triple from Cael Horgan.

The Bulldogs delivered a complete team performance, combining timely hitting, strong pitching, and aggressive baserunning while capitalizing on several Marmaton Valley miscues. The Wildcats were making their first state tournament appearance in school history.

Rossville (24-4) wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, plating two runs in the opening inning on a sacrifice fly from Conner Bush and a wild pitch that brought home Canaan Mitchell.

The Bulldogs added three more runs in the second inning, highlighted by a two-run single from Mitchell, while another run scored on a passed ball.

Rossville continued to build its lead throughout the afternoon, scoring once in the third on a wild pitch before adding three runs in the fourth inning. Cameron Miller and Cooper Myer each drove in runs during the frame.

Horgan then delivered the finishing blow in the fifth inning with his walk-off triple to seal the run-rule victory.

Miller also starred on the mound for Rossville, tossing four shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out seven. Kelton Lacock pitched a perfect fifth inning to close out the game.

Rossville will now advance to Manhattan to face top-seeded Thomas More Prep in the Class 2-1A State Semifinals on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
