1A-DII Sub-State at BV-Randolph - Championship
It was the rubber match this season between rivals B&B and Axtell and a rematch of the sub-state championship the previous year, this time the Falcons came out on top with a buzzer beater jumper by Dustin Rottinghaus to win the game. The previous two years B&B had opportunities to win the sub-state championship at the end of regulation with a shot but missed, this time the third time was the charm.
Falcons led only 19-18 at the half but pushed that led out further in the 3rd quarter, but Axtell scored 15 points in the 4th quarter to not go away quietly. B&B was led by Cameron Haug who scored 11 points, while Blake Deters chipped in 9 points and Rottinghaus added 8 points.
Axtell was led by Zach Heinen who scored 13 points, while Payton Heinen and Christian Buessing each chipped in 10 points.
