1A-DI Sub-State at Valley Heights - Semifinals
Valley Heights Mustangs had all the could handle with Hanover needing every point they got to earn the win. Mustangs held the 20-17 lead at the half a three-pointer by Cassidy Coggins at the buzzer. The Mustangs galloped out of the half to lead 39-23 after three quarters, but Hanover posted a 27-13 4th quarter to make a game of hit as they drained seven three's in the game drew within one late. Valley Heights senior, Lesley Frohberg split free throws to make it a two-point game and Hanover was never able to get a look at the basket as time expired.
Valley Heights was led by Brandi Jo Roepke who scored 14 points, while Sidney Blackburn scored 13 points and Frohberg added 12 points. Hanover was led by Paige Doebele who posted 18 points and Riley Doebele added 16 points.
