Hanover Wildcats preseason ranked number two in 8-Man DI, topped Axtell by 40 points, as the Wildcats led 28-0 at the half. Andrew Bruna paced the Wildcats with 134 yards on 12 carries and 3 TD's and a TD pass. Cody Rengstrof added a rushing TD for Hanover.

Axtell in the loss finished with just 33 yards rushing as a team, although Tyler Jones had a rush TD and Colton Buessing also had a rush TD, along with going 15-25 for 111 yards and an INT.
