Using a 20-0 2nd quarter Troy took control of the game against Valley Heights early, but it was only a 28-19 game after three quarters as the Mustangs battled back into the contest. Troy was led by Tristan Speer who was 16-30 for 174 yards TD and a TD run, while Jake Ross caught Speer's TD pass. Alex Schmille had 12 carries for 88 yards TD, while Derek Franken had a pair of rushing TDs.
Valley Heights in the loss had Gage Woodyard post 125 yards on 17 carries with 3 TDs, while Keaton Dewalt added a rushing TD and Logan Woodyard posted 91 yards on 9 carries. Dewalt added 13 tackles on defense in the contest.
