Engemann Off and Running in Her First Season at Missouri State
Paityn Engemann

From Central Arkansas to Missouri State, former Troy Trojans standout Paityn Engemann is making her presence felt in her first season with the Bears softball program.

Engemann has seen early action inside the circle and continues to settle into her role as the season unfolds.

On Feb. 6 against Belmont, she worked nearly four innings, allowing five hits while surrendering no earned runs and recording one strikeout. She followed that performance on Feb. 15 against East Texas A&M with two scoreless innings, giving up no earned runs, issuing no walks, and striking out two.

Through the early portion of the season, Engemann has logged nearly 13 innings with five strikeouts and a 5.11 ERA.

Her collegiate opportunity comes on the heels of an impressive high school career at Troy. During a dominant junior campaign, she earned 2-1A Pitcher of the Year honors after posting a 0.73 ERA with 161 strikeouts, adding to a résumé that included multiple all-state selections.
