Frankfort Wins Team Title & Valley Heights Golfer Takes Top Spot at Valley Heights Golf Invite

Friday was one of the best days of weather in all spring sports and several area boys golf teams hit the links as Valley Heights hosted competition. 

Frankfort boy's golf team continued their strong year by taking first place as a team posting a score of 365 to win by 13-strokes. The host Valley Heights took second place with a 378, while Hanover earned third place with a 393. Washington County, Centralia, Onaga, Marysville and Republic County finished out the team scores in fourth through eighth with scores of 397, 439, 448, 483 and 510. 

A trio of Top 10 finishes led Frankfort on their way to first place as a team as Austin Hardwick took third place with an 87, while Josh Tynon and Spencer Dressman posted rounds of 89 and 92 to place fifth and seventh. 

Bryan Yungeberg of Valley Heights led the way at the contest posting an 86 to take first place, while Tyler Wagner earned tenth place for the Mustangs behind a round of 95. 

Hanover was led Carter Bruna who shot a 86 and took second place, while Zach Bruna finished with a 93 to place ninth on the day. 

Both Washington County and Onaga each had a Top 10 performance on the day, also as Kobe Hoover of Washington County shot a 90 for sixth place and KC Koelzer carded a 92 for eighth place.
