Sabetha Takes Top Team Spot & Holton Golfer Has Top Individual Round at Holton Boys Golf Quad

Big Seven Boys Golf Quad (at Holton) Results (4-30-18) - Varsity & JV

The golf season continued on Monday as four Big Seven League schools competed against each other in a League Quad hosted by Holton. 

Sabetha Bluejays added another meet team title to their season posting the winning team score of 158, while Holton took second with a 174 and Nemaha Central posted a 181 to finished third. Hiawatha was also in action but did not field a full team. 

On the way to the top team score Sabetha had three of the Top five individual scores of the day as Garrett Scott took second, Jesse Burger third and David Pierson fourth all carding rounds of 37. Tanner and Carson Ukele each shot a 47 for the Bluejays, while Riley Lierz finished with a 48. 

AJ Haussler of Holton had the best individual round on the day shooting a 36 to take first place and lead the Wildcats. Drew Morris posted a 44, while Ryan Taylor shot a 45 and Rafe Falk posted a 49. Karsen Brandt and Creighton Baxter each posted rounds of 51 and 52 on the day. 

Nemaha Central was led by Dalton Schmelzle who shot a 40 to take fifth place individually. Eric Hammes, Billy Mitchell and Hunter Feldkamp posted rounds of 46, 47 and 48, respectively for the Thunder. While, Cassidy Corby and Greg Sperfslage shot rounds of 51 and 56 on the day. 

Caden Lillie was in action for Hiawatha and posted a round of 53 on the links.
