The Holton girls golf team continued their season Monday hosting the 4A regional meet, and the Lady Cats finished second as a team to punch their ticket to the state tournament next week.

Holton had a four-person combined team score of 396, led by Taylor Stevens who finished in a tie for sixth with a score of 93, but lost on a scorecard playoff to officially take eighth.

Sarah Holaday finished just one stroke behind Stevens with a 94 which was good enough for ninth place, while Faith Holaday shot a 99  which tied for 10th and Abbigail Hundley 18th place shooting a 110.

The Lady Cats now get set for the 4A state meet next Monday, which is set to be held in Hutchinson with the tee times to be released later on this week.
