Sabetha Girls and Boys Sweep Riverside at Home

Sabetha was at home Tuesday night versus the Riverside Cyclones for a Big 7 League matchup and the Sabetha girls took the win in the first matchup 53-24. Hillary Krebs led the way for the Lady Jays with 15 points while Payton Michael added eight and Jessica Payne six points. Sabetha went 8 of 15 from the free throw line as a team, while Riverside went 5 of 11 from the free throw line. The Riverside girls were lead in scoring by Brailee Miller who had eight points, while Kallie Hawkins also chipped in six points as well.

            The Sabetha boys would complete the sweep as they would take the win 30-16. Gabe Garber had 15 points for the Bluejays in the game, while Ryan Stapleton and Jesse Burger both had six points apiece. The Bluejays went 7 of 11 from the free throw line as a team, while the Cyclones shot just one free throw the entire night. Riverside was led in scoring by Cornelius Anderson who netted six points while Isaac Webb also chipped in four points.

            The Sabetha Lady Jays took the win in the first matchup of the evening, to put their record at 3-1 Overall, 1-1 in league play while the boys on the other hand improve to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in league play. The Bluejays will be on the road this Friday evening at Holton. The Riverside girls fall to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in league play while the boys are now 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the league. The Cyclones will travel to Jeff West this Friday night for a matchup with the Tigers.
