St. Marys Invitational – Results

The golf season rolled along for area teams Thursday afternoon at the St. Marys Invitational and it was Sabetha who came away with the top team finish taking first out of 12 schools competing.

The Bluejays ended the day with four top 15 finishes, led by Jesse Burger who won the meet shooting a 76 while David Pierson added a second-place finish with an 80. Sabetha also Caden Lierz finish 12th with an 89, while Carson Ukele was 15th with an 89 as well.

Frankfort finished second as a team last night with two more top 10 finishes, as Brandon Anderson and Branden Bussman each shot 89 to take ninth and 10th.  

Nemaha Central and Holton rounded out top finishers each with one guy inside of the top 11, as the Thunder had Eric Hammes take fourth with an 85 while the Cats had Ryan Taylor shoot an 88 to finish 11th.
