Frankfort Golf Finishes 2019 Atop Class 1A Claiming State Title

After play was suspended on Monday for all state golf meets the Frankfort Wildcats had no problem getting started back up on Wednesday as they claimed the Class 1A state golf championship in Salina.

Frankfort finished with a four-person team score of 336, led by Aiden Gerstner who finished in a tie for third with a 77, while Branden Bussman finished 10th with a 79 after losing out in a playoff against two other golfers.

The Wildcats wrapped up with Brandon Anderson shooting an 88 to take 23rd, while Josh Tynon ended the day with a 92.

Centralia also added two guys inside of the top 40 out of nearly 90 competitors, as Trent Mars led the way with an 86 to take 18th while Kenton Talley finished in a tie for 38th place to end area state golfers.
