Five Area Teams Highlight Week One KVA High School Volleyball Rankings

KVA Week One – Rankings

The first full week of the high school volleyball season wrapped up over the weekend and with that five area teams find themselves ranked in the first regular season rankings released by the Kansas Volleyball Association Wednesday afternoon.

The highest ranked team this week comes in Class 3A with the Royal Valley Panthers checking in at No. 1 with a perfect 15-0 record. The Panthers have already claimed two tournament championships on the season and Tuesday picked up two wins over Jeff West and Hiawatha.

Along with Royal Valley in Class 3A the Sabetha Bluejays are into the rankings after not being ranked in the preseason with a record of 7-2 after a pair of wins over Riverside Tuesday night.

The next ranked teams come in Class 2A as the Valley Heights Mustangs are No. 6 with a record of 8-2, while Oskaloosa is into the rankings for the first time at No. 10 boasting a record of 10-4 to start the year.

The final ranked area team comes in Class 1A as the Centralia Panthers are down to No. 2 after a 7-3 start to the season which includes a second place finish at the Wabaunsee Invite at the beginning of the year.
