Jackson Heights Volleyball Goes Perfect at Frankfort Invitational

The high school volleyball season continued Saturday with Frankfort hosting a round-robin tournament and it was the Jackson Heights Cobras who went a perfect 5-0 on the day to claim first place.

The Cobras recorded the five wins by beating Doniphan West, Onaga, Washington County and Wetmore in two sets while also beating Frankfort in three sets.

While the Wildcats suffered the loss to Jackson Heights, they did take second with a 4-1 record recording three-set wins over Doniphan West, Washington County and Wetmore and a two-set win over Onaga.

Other area teams at the Frankfort Invite include Washington County who took third going 3-2, Doniphan West fourth at 2-3, Wetmore fifth going 2-3 and Onaga taking sixth.

The first-place finish for Jackson Heights moves the Cobras to 13-1 on the season while Frankfort is now 5-4.
