Jeff County North Volleyball Claims Riverside Invitational Championship

Just a little over a week remains in the high school volleyball season and area teams continued their seasons Saturday at the Riverside Invitational with Jeff County North claiming the tournament championship with a win over Oskaloosa in the championship.

The Chargers got to the title match by going 3-0 in pool play with wins over Riverside, South Harrison and North Platte before taking down McLouth in two sets in the semifinals and Oskaloosa in the championship in three.

As to the Bears they got to the championship match by also going 3-0 in pool play with wins over Troy, Mound City and McLouth before beating Riverside in two sets in the semifinals.

Other results from the Riverside Invitational include McLouth taking third place taking down Riverside in the third place match.
