McLouth Sweeps Northeast Kansas League Cross Country Titles

Big 7 League Cross Country – Results

The Northeast Kansas League held the league’s cross country meet Thursday afternoon at Jackson Heights and the McLouth girls and boys each claimed league titles.

The first team spots in the league were occupied by the top seven finishers in each race and on the girl’s side McLouth had three with Kennedy Coffin winning the race by over 10 seconds while Baylee Wolfe finished fifth and Reagan Clark sixth.

Jackson Heights had Annie Allen earn a first team all-league spot with a second-place finish while ACCHS’ Victoria Caplinger came in third.

The final two spots on the first team were rounded out by Jeff County North and Pleasant Ridge as the Chargers had Zetta Noll finish fourth while the Ram’s Silvia Buccomino came in seventh.

On the boy’s side the Bulldogs added three more runners onto the first team to win league led by Jared Plake who finished third while Henry Cloyd took fourth and August Forsberg sixth.

Jackson Heights and Jeff County North claimed the top two spots in the meet for their respective schools as the Cobras Daniel Little won the meet while the Charger’s Trevor Pentlin finished in second.

The final first-team all-league spots were rounded out on the boy’s side by Pleasant Ridge and Valley Falls as the Rams were led by Logan Beying’s fifth place finish while the Dragons’ Noah Hefty finished seventh.
