Sabetha Earns Playoff Spot with Win Over Royal Valley

The last week of the high school football regular season would not disappoint on Friday Night as alot of great games would be played around the area. But for Sabetha and Royal Valley it would be a win and your in situation, and for Sabetha on senior night it would be the seniors getting it done for the Bluejays to prevail by a final score of 56-21.

Sabetha would start the game out hot, as Andrew Frazee would take it into the endzone from 51 yards out to put the Bluejays up, 7-0.

However the Panthers would get the touchdown right back as quarterback Gavin Cumpton would find Jamison Shane for the 39 yard touchdown pass 7-7. Then once again Andrew Frazee would find the endzone this time from 1 yard out to put Sabetha back on top, 13-7.

It would then be senior Gabe Garber punching it in from 33 yards out for his first score of the game, and after a successful two-point conversion attempt the Bluejays would be up, 21-7.

Garber would score another touchdown from 1 yard out to put Sabetha 29-7.

The Panthers would try to climb back into it as Chace Lyming would find the endzone from two yards out to make the score, 29-14.

Garber got 3rd rushing touchdown of the night from 1 yard out, pushing the Bluejays lead to 36-14.

Braden Argabright would get his first touchdown of the night on a 13-yard pass from Garber for the score, 43-4.

Senior Skyler Arnold would get his first touchdown of the season taking it in from two yards out for the score, 50-14.

Chace Lyming would get another touchdown for the Panthers finding the endzone from 11 yards out, pulling the Panthers within 50-21.

Kaden Edelman would get his first touchdown of the season running it in from 7 yards out, 56-21.

The Bluejays would end the game with 451 Total Yards. Gabe Garber would end the night with 158 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns on the ground, and another 28 yards passing a 1 touchdown. Andrew Frazee would rush for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.

The Bluejays claim the last spot in the district and will face the Hayden Wildcats next week in the Bi-District game.

The Panthers would be led on the ground by Chance Lyming with 124 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns while Gavin Cumpton would rush for 81 yards and throw for 69 yards and 1 touchdown as well.

As a team the Panthers would end the night with 282 Total Yards of offense. The Panthers will miss out on the playoffs with the loss but will play a consolation-type game next week.
