It took Jackson Heights just a couple minutes to get focused for their home week nine playoff game against a 1-7 Wabaunsee team.  After bobbling the opening kickoff and then fumbling their first snap of the game, the Cobra defense set the tone for the night by holding their ground and then Heights scored on five straight possessions to take a commanding 35-0 halftime lead and cruise through a running clock throughout the second half for a 42-0 victory.

Jackson Heights ran for 425 yards in the first half alone and had 534 total yards for the game while holding the Chargers to just 52 total yards.  Jason Bosley and Cooper Williams had huge nights rushing the football as J Bo opened the scoring with a 76 yard TD run on the Cobras second play of the game and Williams then exploded for four touchdown runs with three of those covering at least 43 yards.

Williams had all 216 yards on is 10 carries in the first half while Bosley finished with 195 yards on just eight totes and also caught a 25 yard pass.  Besides the early fumble, the Cobras threw two interceptions in the final two minutes of the first half while trying to execute a two-minute drill adnd hurry up offense.  But the defense recorded four sacks and held Wabausee to negative yards rushing.  Silas Holiday added a third quarter interception for the Heights defense who pitched their first shutout of 2019.

Sophomore quarterback, Cade Oliver was running for his life most of the night completing 8 of 16 passes for 58 total yards as Wabaunsee ended their third straight season with a record of 1-8.

Jackson Heights is now 7-2 and will host Valley Heights in a rematch from week five 26-12 win and also beat the Mustangs twice last year by eight and 15 points.  Williams and Bosley shared "Player to Bank On" honors from the Citizens State Bank and Trust Company of Hiawatha while Carson Williams was the Giant Communications "Lineman of the Game."
