Kpreps – Rankings

The high school football regular season is officially over as playoffs got underway last week and six area teams are state ranked after round one of the playoffs.

In Class 3A a new team has jumped into the rankings as the Jeff West Tigers are in at No. 5 this week after taking down previously No. 3 Marysville last week 20-14 and get a matchup with No. 2 Hayden Friday night.

The Centralia Panthers continue to hold a spot in the top five of Class 1A after a 50-0 shutout of Troy in week nine and have won eight straight since a season opening loss to Rossville.

In 8-man DI the Clifton-Clyde Eagles continue to roll right along and check in this week once again at No. 5 after a 66-20 win over Hoxie last week.

The final three ranked teams come in 8-man DII with Axtell ranked second, Hanover third and Frankfort fourth. All three teams were dominant last week in the opening round of the playoffs, but this week Hanover and Frankfort will get together for a second time with a spot in the sectional round on the line.
