Kpreps – Rankings

The high school football playoffs continued Friday night with second round action across all classes and six teams are still alive with four ranked in the latest set of rankings released Monday.

A new team is into the rankings in Class 3A as the Perry Lecompton Kaws are ranked fifth this week after a 35-21 win over Holton Friday night to move to 7-3 on the year.

In Class 1A Centralia continues to be ranked sitting at No. 4 after a 46-14 win over Northern Heights last week which was the ninth straight win for the Panthers after a season-opening loss to Rossville.

The final ranked area teams come in 8-man DII as Axtell continues to be ranked second while Hanover is fourth. The Eagles blanked Beloit-St. Johns-Tipton last week 46-0 while the Wildcats downed Frankfort for the second time in two weeks winning 36-32.

Hanover and Axtell are on a collision course in the sub-state round if they can both win this week while Centralia travels to Olpe and Perry Lecompton hosts Prairie View.
