Kansas Volleyball Association Announces 2019 All-State Teams

2019 KVA All-State – Selections

The 2019 high school volleyball season was one for the books with five state tournament qualifiers and one state champion.

With that the Kansas Volleyball Association has announced the all-state teams for the year and 13 players were named all-state while one coach earned coach of the year honors.

In Class 4A the only all-state selection came from Atchison who had senior Winny Harris earn an honorable mention all-state selection.

The Class 3A all-state team was dominated by the State Champion Royal Valley Panthers who had coach Gary Armstrong named the Coach of the Year while Ivy Fink and Kenzie Ogden were named to the first team and Morgan Harvey to the second team.

Nemaha Central joined Royal Valley at the 3A State Tournament this season and had two players earn all-state with Alleigh Kramer and Lexi Lueger each earning honorable mention selections.

The Sabetha Bluejays rounded out all-state selections in 3A as junior Melinna Schumann earned an honorable mention spot.

In Class 2A the all-state selections were dominated by Valley Heights who had two players after reaching the state tournament with Sam Vermetten earning a first team nod and Emma Teorber an honorable mention selection.

The final all-state selections come from Class 1A with Valley Falls Jaci Brinker earning a second team spot along with Clifton-Clyde’s Payton Girard.

Centralia and Frankfort rounded out 1A with the Panthers Kennedy Becker and the Wildcats Kennen Brandt each earning honorable mention selections.
