15 Area Wrestlers and One Team Ranked in Week One KWCA Rankings

Week One KWCA Rankings – 4A, 3-2-1A, Girls

The winter sports season has officially kicked off for area wrestling teams and with that the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released the latest state rankings after week one.

The only area boys team ranked is the Holton Wildcats who are ranked fifth in Class 4A with four guys inside the top six of their respective weight class.

The Cats are led by Kolby Roush who is ranked second at 138 pounds while Konnor Tannahill is second at 195, Jake Barnes third at 113 and Taygen Fletcher fifth at 145.

In the 321A classification ACCHS and Riverside each have two wrestlers ranked as the Tigers have Mason Scholz ranked sixth at 120 ponds and Brodie Page fifth at 126, while the Cyclones have Beau Horn second at 138 pounds and Luke Horn fourth at 152.

The final two ranked boys’ wrestlers come from Sabetha and Oskaloosa as the Bluejays have Walker Lowdermilk at 170 pounds while the Bears have Christopher King at 220 pounds.

On the girl’s side of the rankings the ACCHS Tigers have two girls ranked with Tannah Forbes sixth at 170 pounds and Drucilla Longbrake second at 235.

The girl’s rankings are rounded out by Royal Valley, Jeff West and Sabetha who each have one with the Panthers Maya Ogden ranked second at 130 pounds, the Tigers Montana Grahem third at 123 and the Bluejays Kylie Merideth fifth at 191 pounds.
