ACCHS Finishes Third, Oskaloosa Fourth at Onaga Wrestling Invitational

Onaga Invitational Wrestling – Results  

Several area high school wrestling teams continued their seasons Saturday at the Onaga Invitational and the best area finish came from ACCHS who took third place out of 12 schools competing.

The Tigers had two second place finishes with Colby Smith finishing runner-up at 145 pounds while Gunnar Koontz went 3-1 to take second at 160.

After ACCHS it was Oskaloosa who finished fourth with one individual champion as Eli King won the 182-pound weight class while Christopher King took second at 220 and Justin Miller runner-up at 285.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy and Jeff West each added individual champions at the Ravens had Will Madden win the 195-pound weight class while the Tigers had Joel Scott claim the 170-pound title.

Doniphan West added the final first place finish as Carter Jensen went 5-0 to claim the 132-pound title.

On the girl’s side two area individuals claimed first place finishes as Onaga had Morgan Mayginnes win the 155-pound weight class while ACCHS got an individual girl’s title from Drucilla Longbrake at 235 pounds.
