KWCA Releases Week Two Regular Season Rankings

Week Two KWCA – Rankings

While it’s the final week of 2019 for high school basketball it’s the same for wrestling and with that the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released the second regular season rankings for the year.

In Class 4A the Holton Wildcats continue to be ranked in the top 10 checking at No. 7 this week with three guys ranked with Jake Barnes ranked fourth at 113 pounds, Kolby Roush second at 138 and Konnor Tannahill third at 195.

In the 3-2-1A the ACCHS Tigers have two guys ranked in the top six of their respective weight class with Mason Scholz ranked sixth at 120 pounds while Brodie Page is fourth at 126.

Riverside added two more ranked wrestlers with Beau Horn ranked second at 138 pounds while Luke Horn is fourth at 152.

Area wrestlers ranked on the boy’s side is rounded out by Sabetha and Perry Lecompton each with one as the Bluejays have Walker Lowdermilk ranked third at 170 pounds while the Kaws have Hayden Robb sixth at 220.

On the girl’s side of the rankings both Royal Valley and Jeff West have wrestlers ranked in the 130-pound weight class as the Panthers’ Maya Ogden is second while the Tigers’ Montana Grahem is ranked sixth.

Sabetha and ACCHS rounded out the rankings as the Bluejays’ Kylie Merideth is ranked fifth at 191 pounds while the Tigers’ Drucilla Longbrake is second at 235.
