23rd Annual Gerald Sadowski Tournament – Results

The high school wrestling season got back in action over the weekend after weather has forced many meets to be cancelled in the last few weeks and area teams were in action at Holton on Saturday in the 23rd Annual Gerald Sadowski Tournament at Holton.

The best team finish came from the host Wildcats who finished fifth out of 18 schools competing with one first place finish and two second place finishes on the day.

The Cats lone title came from Jake Barnes in the 113-pound weight class while Kolby Roush at 145 and Konnor Tannahill at 195 each took second.

The only other area first place finish came from Doniphan West’s Nathaniel Howerton who claimed the 182-pound title.

There were also two more second place finishes from area athletes on Saturday as Sabetha’s Walker Lowdermilk was runner-up in the 170-pound weight class while Oskaloosa had Justin Miller take second at 285.
