Holton Wrestling Leads Area Showings at Baldwin Invitational

Baldwin Invitational – Results

Area high school wrestling teams continued their seasons Saturday at the Baldwin Invitational and the best area finish came from the Holton boys who claimed second out of 17 teams in action.

The Cats were led by Jake Barnes who claimed the only individual title winning the 113-pound weight class while Holton also had a pair of third place finishes by Slater Skaggs at 132 pounds, Kolby Roush at 145 and Konnor Tannahill at 195.

Perry Lecompton added two more top three finishes as Hayden Robb placed second at 220 pounds while Grant Roush was third at 152.

On the girl’s side Holton finished in fourth place with three top four finishers as Gracie Gallagher claimed third at 130 pounds while Madeline Montgomery in the 116-123-pound category and Ally Beard at 143-155 each claimed fourth.
