Six Area Teams Highlight Feb. 4 KBCA Rankings

Feb. 4 KBCA – Rankings

Just two weeks remain in the high school basketball regular season before regional play gets underway for area high school basketball teams and the Kansas Basketball Association has released the newest set of rankings featuring six area teams.

The Class 3A rankings continue to hold two Big 7 League teams with Nemaha Central still the No. 1 team in the state with a record of 12-0 while Sabetha is ranked fifth at 11-1.

A new team is into the rankings on the 3A boy’s side with the Royal Valley Panthers into the rankings at No. 8 with a record of 12-1.

In Class 2A it continues to be the Jeff County North and Valley Heights girls dominating the rankings as the Chargers are a perfect 12-0 and ranked fourth while the Mustangs are ranked eighth at 13-1.

The final ranked team comes in Class 1A on the boy’s side with the Valley Falls Dragons ranked eighth at 11-3.
