15 Area Wrestlers Featured in Feb. 4 KWCA Rankings

Feb. 4 KWCA – Rankings

Just two weeks remains before regionals for area high school wrestling teams and with that the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released the latest set of state rankings featuring 15 individuals.

In Class 4A the Holton Wildcats fell out of the team rankings this week but still have three individuals ranked with Jake Barnes ranked third at 113 pounds, Kolby Roush fourth at 145 and Konnor Tannahill fourth at 195.

In the 321A classification Perry Lecompton and Sabetha each have two guys in the top six of their weight class as the Kaws have Grant Roush and Hayden Robb each ranked sixth at 152 and 220 while the Bluejays have Kaden Dillon fifth at 152 pounds and Walker Lowdermilk third at 170.

Riverside is the only other area school with multiple guys ranked as the Cyclones have Beau Horn ranked second at 138 pounds along with Luke Horn third at 160.

The rankings are rounded out by Oskaloosa and Maur Hill-Mount Academy who each have a guy ranked in the 195-pound weight class as the Bears have Eli King ranked fourth while the Ravens have Will Madden ranked fifth.

In the girl’s rankings four individuals are ranked this week with Jeff West’s Montana Grahem ranked sixth at 130 pounds while Onaga’s Morgan Mayginnes is the top ranked wrestler at 155.

Rounding out the rankings is Sabetha’s Kylie Merideth who is ranked third at 191 pounds while ACCHS’ Drucilla Longbrake is fifth at 235.
