14 Area Wrestlers and Two Teams Highlight Newest KWCA Rankings

Feb. 11 KWCA – Rankings

There’s just one week before regional wrestling is set to take place with area athletes gearing up for league meets this weekend and with that the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association released the latest set of rankings featuring 14 individuals and two teams.

In Class 4A the Holton Wildcats are back into the rankings as a team checking in at No. 8 with three guys ranked led by Kolby Roush who is the second-ranked wrestler at 138 pounds. The Cats are rounded out by Jake Barnes who is ranked third at 113 pounds while Konnor Tannahill is fourth at 195.

In the 321A rankings seven area guys are ranked including six from the Big 7 League led by Riverside who has two top three ranked wrestlers with Beau Horn second at 138 pounds while Luke Horn is third at 160.

Sabetha and Perry Lecompton also each have two guys ranked as the Bluejays have Kaden Dillon ranked fifth at 152 pounds and Walker Lowdermilk third at 170 while the Kaws had Grant Roush sixth at 152 and Hayden Robb sixth at 220.

The 321A rankings are rounded out by Oskaloosa’s Eli King who is ranked fourth at 195 pounds.

On the girl’s side of the rankings this week one team is into the rankings for the first time this season as Onaga is tenth with Morgan Mayginnes still holding the No. 1 spot at 155 pounds.

The remaining ranked girls come from Jeff West who has Montana Grahem ranked sixth at 130 pounds, Sabetha who has Kylie Merideth third at 191 and ACCHS who has Drucilla Longbrake ranked fifth at 235.
