Big 7 League Meet – Results

It’s postseason time for high school wrestling in the state of Kansas and Friday afternoon Perry Lecompton played host to the Big 7 League meet which was won by the Holton Wildcats behind seven first place finishes.

The Cats dominated the podium all day long with Jake Barnes at 113 pounds, Lucas Adcock at 120, Kayden Elliott at 126, Slater Skaggs at 132, Kolby Roush at 138, Taygen Fletcher at 145 and Konnor Tannahill at 195 all claiming league titles.

Behind Holton the Perry Lecompton Kaws claimed second place as a team with three first place finishers led by Grant Roush who claimed the 152-pound title along with Hayden Robb at 220 and Sean Urban at 285.

Sabetha added two more league champions on the day to round out teams with multiple winners as Walker Lowdermilk won the 170-pound weight class while Colby Tinklin did the same at 182.

The meet was rounded out by Royal Valley and Riverside who each had one league champion as the Panthers got a first-place finish from Quinton Nelson at 106 pounds while the Cyclones had Luke Horn claim first at 160.
