Big 7 League All-League Basketball Teams Announced

2020 Big 7 All-League Selections – Girls & Boys

Postseason awards continue to roll in around the area after the season ended last week and the Big 7 League is the latest to release its all-league honors.

On the girl’s side the league was dominated by Nemaha Central who went 14-0 in league play earning three players onto the first team with Hannah Macke and Alleigh Kramer each unanimous selections while Emma Elder was named to the first team as well.

Sabetha claimed the second spot in the league with an 11-3 record while being state ranked throughout the season with two girls selected to the first team in junior Melinna Schumann and senior Maggi Hughes.

Jeff West added two more girls to the first team after making a run to the 3A State Tournament as sophomore Kristin Biltoft was named a unanimous selection while senior Heather Kahler added another first team nod.

The only other team with multiple first team selections was Perry Lecompton who had two girls in seniors Blaise Ball and Jenna Keller.

The final all-league selection on the girl’s side came from Holton as the Cats Saydee Tanking was named a unanimous selection.

On the boy’s side the league champion for 2020 came from Royal Valley who won the league by four games with two guys on the first team in the sophomore duo of Nahcs Wahwassuck and Brady Klotz.

Perry Lecompton tied for second in the league this season and added two more guys on the first team in junior Parker Stone and senior Blake Farmer.

Nemaha Central tied with Perry for the second place in the league and had just one guy earn honors in senior Andrew Leonard.

The only other team with multiple selections was Jeff West who had two in the senior duo of Quinn Neuenswander and Bryce Clements.

All-League selections were rounded out by Sabetha, Holton and Hiawatha with the Bluejays senior Gabe Garber, the Cats junior Kale Purcell and the Redhawks senior Tyler Brockhoff each earning first team selections.
