KS Hall of Fame - Records

Over the past four seasons there has been no doubt that Axtell senior quarterback Quinn Buessing was one of the best quarterbacks in the state at the 8-man level and even in 8-man history.

Buessing added to his legacy even more on Monday afternoon as the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame announced that he is the new record holder for completion percentage in a career at 64 percent.

This past season Buessing helped lead the Eagles to runner-up finish at state with one of the best season’s we have ever seen at the 8-man level throwing for 2,428 yards and 41 touchdowns compared to just four interceptions.

He added 630 yards on the ground and 20 more scores finishing with over 3,000 all-purpose yards and 61 total touchdowns.

In his career Buessing threw for 7,978 yards and 134 touchdowns to 26 interceptions with 11 of those coming in his freshman campaign.

He also finished his career with 1,826 rushing yards and 48 touchdowns to go along with 9,804 all-purpose yards and 182 total career touchdowns.

He has been named a first team all-Twin Valley League selection and all-state selection the past three seasons and just recently picked up all-state basketball selection as well.

Buessing will now shift his attention to the next level and look to earn himself into a big offer as next fall he will be attending Highland Community College to play quarterback.
