The Kansas State High School Activities Association was set to announce its plan for the upcoming fall sports season Friday, but due to Governor Laura Kelly’s announcement yesterday that schools are not allowed to reopen until labor day KSHSAA has decided to postpone that announcement.

Instead, the organize said yesterday in a statement that they will now reconvene and go over possible options on how to proceed with a fall sports season.

The season was originally scheduled to begin the week of September 4 with the opening week of the high school football season.

There is no for sure answer on what KSHSAA was expected to announce on Friday, but it was reported that the organization was planning on allowing for a full season.

No timetable was set by KSHSAA to make their new announcement, but it is expected to come within the next week.
