The Heart of America Athletic Conference made a major announcement early Monday afternoon that the conference will not make any changes to the fall sports season and that it will move forward as scheduled.

This means that teams will be allowed to begin practice on August 15, with all fall sports but football to open September 5 and then football the following weekend on September 12.

The announcement comes after the NAIA announced modifications back in June to the fall sports schedule which removed the first two weeks of the football season and limited the number of games that fall sports teams could play.

The changes affect locally Benedictine College, who is set to open the football season at home on September 12 hosting Peru State College.
