Royal Valley Volleyball Claims Jeff West Invitational

The high school volleyball season rolled along Saturday as area teams competed at the Jeff West Invite and it was the Royal Valley Panthers who claimed the tournament championship.

The Panthers continued to roll in the early portion of the season going 5-0 on the day with straight set wins over Jeff West, Oskaloosa, Santa Fe Trail, Silver Lake and Valley Falls.

With the five wins Royal Valley is now 7-0 on the season while holding the No. 1 ranking in the state in Class 3A.

Other area teams that competed at Jeff West include Oskaloosa who took fourth with a 2-3 record while Jeff West finished fifth and Valley Falls sixth.
