Wamego Invitational – Results

Area high school volleyball teams were in action Saturday competing at the Wamego Invitational and the best area finish came from Nemaha Central who claimed second.

The Thunder got to the title match by going 2-2 in pool play with wins over Holton and Riley County while falling to Wamego and Hays TMP.

That got Nemaha Central into the semifinals where the Thunder took down TMP in two sets before falling to Wamego in the championship.

The only other area team competing was Holton who went 1-3 in pool play with their lone win coming over Riley County before falling to Wamego in the semifinals to end the day.
