Nemaha Central Girls and Boys Win at Washington County Cross Country Invitational

Washington County Cross Country Meet – Results

Area high school cross country teams were in action Monday night at Washington County and Nemaha Central captured both the girl’s and boys’ team titles.

On the girl’s side the Thunder claimed the top spot behind three top 10 finishers led by Hailey Nordus who finished third while Kyndall Sextro came in sixth and Jillian Stueve seventh.

Frankfort and Axtell rounded out area finishers in the top 10 as Hattie Gros came in fourth to lead the Wildcats while the Eagles Aspen Buessing finished ninth.

On the boy’s side Nemaha Central won the team title with three top 10’s led by John Langill who finished second while Trenton Schmelzle came in third and Carter Lutz fifth.

Axtell rounded out top finishers on the boy’s side as Mitchell Buessing finished ninth.
