Riverside Volleyball Invitational – Results

Area high school volleyball teams were in action Saturday competing at the Riverside Invitational and the best finish came from Jeff County North who won the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record.

The Chargers breezed through the tournament going 3-0 in pool play with two set wins over Oskaloosa, South Harrison, and Troy before beating Doniphan West in the semifinals and Oskaloosa in the championship each in two sets.

As to Oskaloosa the Bears also had a strong day with pool play wins over Troy and South Harrison and got to the championship match by beating McLouth in three sets.

Doniphan West took third in the tournament with pool play wins over Riverside and North Platte and a loss to McLouth before falling to JCN in the semifinals and beating McLouth in the third-place match.

McLouth finished the day 3-2 with three pool play wins over Doniphan West, North Platte and Riverside before the semifinal loss to Oskaloosa and the third-place match loss to Doniphan West.
