Jeff County North Girls and Boys Claim Lyle Alley Cross Country Invitational

Lyle Alley Invitational – Results

Area cross country teams wrapped up the regular season Tuesday night competing in the Lyle Alley Invitational at Jackson Heights and it was Jeff County North who swept the girls and boys team titles.

On the girl’s side the Lady Chargers had two top 10 finishers as Sydney Myers took fourth while Zetta Noll finished eighth.

Valley Falls added two more girls to the top 10 with Serena Toll and Renay Myers finishing ninth and tenth, respectively.

The only other team with multiple top 10s was Horton who had Maliyah Soto take fifth while Keirria Blacksmith came in seventh.

The meet was won by Doniphan West’s Elle Williams who won the meet by nearly 40 seconds while Nemaha Central’s Hailey Nordus finished second to round out top 10 finishers.

On the boy’s side the Chargers won the meet behind five top 10s led by Trevor Pentlin and Trent Meredith who finished second and third while Issac Kane was sixth, Ricky Maginness eighth and Cole Burk tenth.

The meet was won by Jackson Heights’ Daniel Little who captured the individual title by 30 seconds.

Nemaha Central added two guys in the top 10 with John Langill and Carter Lutz finishing fourth and fifth, while Valley Falls rounded out the top 10 with Thayer Coleman seventh and Dawson Branam ninth.
