Sacred Heart Volleyball team advances at state

Falls City Sacred Heart has advanced to the State  Volleyball Tournament semifinals on Friday morning. 

The 4th seeded Irish defeated #5 seed Humphrey St. Francis Thursday morning 3 games to 1 winning 23 - 25;  25-15; 25-22 & 25-23.   The #3 ranked Irish will not take on #1 ranked and top-seed Diller-Odell Friday morning at 9 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.  The Griffins are 31-1 and knoced of Nebraska Christian in the opener at State 3 games to 1.

Sacred Heart is the only team to defeat Dill-Odell this season but the Griffins lead the season series with two wins over the Irish.

In Class D1 State Volleyball,  Johnson-Brock took on the #1 ranked and top seed Pleasanton  Bulldogs Thursday but lost 3 games to 1.  If is only the third time this season the Bulldogs have lost a set in a match.  They advance winning 25-17;  25-19;  25-27 and 25-17 and improved to 31-0 on the year.

Johnson-Brock completes the season 20-12.
