Area Wrestlers Compete at Onaga Invitational

Onaga Wrestling Invitational – Results

Area high wrestling teams were in action Saturday competing at the Onaga Invitational and the best finish from an area team came from Maur Hill-Mount Academy who claimed third.

The Ravens were led by Jake Peltzer who took first place in the 160-pound weight class with a 5-0 record while Patrick Madden added a second-place finish at 145 pounds.

Oskaloosa added a first-place finish by Jesse Thacher at 113 pounds with a 5-0 record, while Doniphan West’s Camron Yuill was 3-0 to take first at 106 pounds.

In the 126-pound weight class Onaga’s Landon Koelling took first place with a 5-0 record with all five wins via pin, while Royal Valley’s Quinton Nelson did the same at 132 pounds.
