10 Area Teams Highlight Dec. 15 KBCA Rankings

Dec. 15 KBCA – Rankings

The second full week of the high school basketball season is underway, and the newest Kansas Basketball Coaches Assocation rankings have been released featuring 10 area teams.

On the girl’s side the rankings continue to be dominated by the Big 7 League in Class 3A as three teams continue to be ranked with Nemaha Central at No. 3, Sabetha at No. 6 and Jeff West at No. 7.

In Class 2A the Valley Heights girls continue to hold serve in the middle of the rankings checking in this week at No. 5.

Fellow Twin Valley League opponent Centralia has dropped a couple spots to No. 5 this week in the 1A Division I rankings while Wetmore is newly into the rankings this week at No. 10 in 1A DII.

On the boy’s side Nemaha Central got their season underway with a big win Friday and have remained in the 3A rankings at No. 10.

The Centralia boys also remain in the rankings this week checking in at No. 7 with a 1-1 start in 1A Division I, while Axtell stays in the 1A DII rankings this week checking in at No. 8.
