11 Area Wrestlers Ranked in Newest KWCA Rankings

KWCA Dec. 15 Rankings – 4A, 321A, Girls

The high school wrestling season is well underway for nearly all area teams and the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released the newest set of state rankings featuring 11 local wrestlers.

In the 321A classification the ACCHS Tigers lead the way with three guys ranked led by Mason Scholz who is ranked third at 132 pounds while Brodie Page is fifth at 138 and Colby Smith sixth at 152.

In the lower weight classes Maur Hill-Mount Academy has Ethan Seager ranked fourth at 106 pounds while Riverside’s Conner Hayes is sixth at 132.

The 321A rankings are rounded out by Perry Lecompton and Oskaloosa with the Kaws Hayden Robb ranked second in the 220-pound weight class while Oskaloosa’s Justin Miller is sixth at 285.

In Class 4A the Holton boys have two guys ranked to lead the way as Konnor Tannahill is the top ranked wrestler at 195 pounds while Jake Barnes is sixth at 120.

On the girl’s side of the rankings just two girls are ranked this week as Royal Valley’s Maya Ogden is sixth at 138 pounds while ACCHS’ Tannah Forbes is fourth at 191.
