10 Area Teams Highlight Dec. 22 KBCA Rankings

Dec. 22 KBCA – Rankings

The 2020 portion of the high school basketball season is set to come to a close Tuesday night and with that the final rankings of the year have been released by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Assocation featuring 10 local teams.

On the girl’s side the Class 3A rankings continue to be dominated by the Big 7 League with three teams ranked as Nemaha Central remains third while Sabetha is sixth and Jeff West seventh.

In Class 2A the Valley Heights girls continue to be ranked fifth, while in 1A Division I Doniphan West is into the ranking at No. 6 along with Jackson Heights at No. 8.

The final ranked area team on the girl’s side comes in 1A Division II with the Wetmore Cardinals ranked ninth.

On the boy’s side Royal Valley continues to roll along and this week come into the rankings at No. 9.

In the 1A Division I rankings the Centralia boys are ranked seventh after a big win over Hanover Friday night while the Axtell boys are ranked sixth in 1A Division II.
