The 2021 Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors released the rosters yesterday for this year’s game in June and seven area athletes earned selections to compete in the game.

Out of the Big 7 League four guys earned selections to compete for the East squad in Nemaha Central’s Tyler Gerety, Holton’s Canon Karn, Sabetha’s Drew Schmelze and Perry Lecompton’s Hayden Robb.

The Twin Valley League added two more guys on the East in Axtell’s Kolby Talbot and Centralia’s Austin Holthaus.

Area players selected to compete in the game were rounded out by Maur Hill-Mount Academy’s Andrew Schwinn who will play for the East squad after leading Northeast Kansas in rushing this past season.
