15 Area Wrestlers Highlight Newest KWCA Rankings

KWCA Week 6 Rankings – Class 4A, Class 321A, Girls D-II

Just a few short weeks remain in the high school wrestling regular season and with that the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released the latest state rankings featuring 15 area athletes.

In Class 4A on the boy’s side the Holton Wildcats have three guys ranked this week led by Konnor Tannahill who is the top-ranked wrestler at 195 pounds while Jake Barnes is fifth at 120 and Jayden Fletcher sixth at 152.

Perry Lecompton has the only other ranked wrestler in 4A as Hayden Robb is ranked third in the 220-pound weight class.

In the 321A classification the ACCHS Tigers have two guys that are ranked this week with Mason Scholz ranked third in the 132-pound weight class while Colby Smith is sixth at 145.

In the 113-pound weight class the Oskaloosa Bears have Jesse Thacher ranked sixth, while Riverside and Sabetha round out the boys’ rankings as the Cyclones Conner Hayes is fifth at 132 pounds and the Bluejays Kaden Dillon third at 160.

On the girl’s side of the rankings the Holton Lady Cats have two girls ranked this week as Macey Gross is sixth at 126 pounds while Gracie Gallagher is fifth at 138.

Sabetha added one wrestler ranked this week as Kylie Merideth is ranked first in the 235-pound weight class. 

The rankings are rounded out by Royal Valley, ACCHS and Oskaloosa as the Panthers’ Maya Ogden is ranked third at 138 pounds while the Tigers Tannah Forbes is second at 191 and the Bears’ Allison King fifth at 155.
